Silvereye International Film Festival 2020 is finally here and we couldn’t be happier. This will be a 3 day festival, featuring 12 curated short & feature films from eminent and upcoming directors. 6 of the curated films will be in Indian languages and the remaining 6 curated films will be in English or any other foreign languages. The festival will have interactive sessions everyday after screening. The festival will also showcase curated Indian and foreign language theatre performances, interviews, live talk shows & more. This year due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has brought the world to a standstill, the festival will be a virtual live event, live-streamed over 3 days globally. Baisakhi and Indra, are a married couple living outside India. Taking a short vacation Indra visits Kolkata leaving Baisakhi behind all alone. Indra gets stuck in Kolkata due to the sudden lockdown of the whole country. On the other hand Baisakhi looses her job and feels extremely lonely and empty in a foreign country during a pandemic. All these while we see the characters interacting through cell phones. However Indra and Baisakhi struggle to talk directly to each other although they are talking to each others common friends and parents. Indra's boss orders him to work from home but since they are not allowed to carry service laptop out of the country he has left it behind and this puts him in a fix. This laptop then becomes the string that closes the distance between Baisakhi and Indra helping them to have a conversation again.
